H.R. 1913 Would Establish the Clear Creek Recreation Area
Please urge your Senators to support H.R. 1913
, the “Clear Creek National Recreation Area and Conservation Act.” H.R. 1913 would reopen the Clear Creek Management Area in central California and protect access to trails, roads, and other areas on BLM land that were previously used for off highway vehicle recreation prior to the Clear Creek Management Area closure in 2008.
The U.S. House passed H.R. 1913 in July of this year, and the legislation now sits before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. As a California specific issue, Members of the ENR Committee are hesitant to take a position on the legislation without the California delegation’s consent. It is important for California OHV enthusiasts to show California Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris your support for access and for legislation that protects opportunities for motorized recreation.
Please send a letter encouraging your Senators to support H.R. 1913
.
